In the heart of Prince Edward County is the Waupoos Estate Winery, a staple in the region for 16 years.
Established in 2001, this winery truly demonstrates how passion fuels quality.
From the very beginning, founders Ed and Rita developed the now twenty acres of vines with slow and precise care, ensuring the exemplary quality for which they are still known.
Resident winemaker Amy Baldwin continues to explore her passion, through the craftsmanship of the estate’s wine.
“Winemaking is one of those unique practices that harmonizes science and nature. Every year is different,” she says.
“Once the grapes have been harvested the creative possibilities become infinite. Wines can be similar, but they will never be the same. From the vineyard to the bottle, each step is as exciting as the last.”
