Tacos, they will tell you, are the perfect food. They’re crunchy or soft. They can be (and have been) filled with almost anything. And they’re as spicy or tame as your taste buds desire.
One drawback: They’re not portable. Until now.
Introducing Walking Tacos, the brain-child of Georgie Vincent, who discovered in 2012 that Doritos chip bags and tacos were a match made in food heaven.
After tinkering with their recipes, Georgie and her business partner, Michelle Vincent developed three ‘delivery methods’ which make their tacos delicious, yet easy to handle on the go.
Their Walking Taco truck made its first appearance at the Navan Fair in August and the two women haven’t looked back.
Their Walking Taco Salads, Walking Soft Shell Tacos and Walking Tacos in a Bag will all be featured at the Ottawa Wine and Food Festival.
“Why do people love tacos? Because tacos rock!” says Georgie.
